Pros

This company offers a way for teachers to work from home with a flexible schedule. Classroom management is handed off to the classroom coach in the room with students.

Cons

This company is growing much faster than it can keep up with. Lack of communication is the worst downfall. When a schedule change or testing happens at the school, often there is no communication with instructors of the change or the portal isn't updated to match, and teachers and students miss each other in the mix-up, resulting in weeks of non-instructional days in even just a few months of the school year. When a change in schedule is announced, it is often the day of or even after the fact, which makes adjustment difficult if you are teaching another class at that time or need to arrange for childcare. It can also cut into your expected paycheck when you can't teach at the new times or when new schedules trim down your time. This is not a good position for those trying to live on a predictable budget. Teachers and students often do not have materials like text sets available and are expected to find an online "workaround" to be able to read the books designated for reading units. The lesson plan notes that are provided have frequent glitches that prevent instructors from viewing essential components like upcoming assessment content. They claim to support you in earning teacher certification in other states that require their state license, but they don't check to see if you qualify before assigning you to a class. I was a few months in before I found out I did not qualify for the out-of-state licensure and have now been notified that I will be removed from my program.
