Pros

Working on cutting-edge voice AI is genuinely exciting and intellectually rewarding. Customers are demanding, but solving their problems can be satisfying. The company has a strong reputation in the voice AI space and talented engineers on the core product side.

Cons

Forward Deployed Engineering is chaotic, with unclear leadership and rampant favoritism — some managers mainly hire friends/old colleagues and treat them differently. Work-life balance is nonexistent (60+ hours is the norm). Pay may look good upfront, but when compared to the stress, workload, and lack of bonuses/benefits, it’s below market. PR reviews are superficial, and decisions often happen behind closed doors. The culture is cult-like: if you’re not fully bought in, you won’t last. Managers are lacking business understanding.

Thank you for writing this out in the detail you did. Reading it, we are sorry the experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer has been what you describe. What you have written is a structured account of how the team, management, hours, and pay have failed to land for you. That is heavy to carry, and heavier to write out. If you are open to a conversation about what your experience has actually been, we would prioritize it. We appreciate the depth of this. ElevenLabs Talent Team

Pros

I love the whole vibe of the company, it’s fast paced but not in an insane way, but in a motivating way.

Cons

It’s contracted, would be nice to be benefited, but honestly overall, very happy.

Pros

High inbound volume, name carries weight with customers

Cons

Pay is below market and equity for GTM is basically nothing Sales is treated like a necessary evil, you feel it constantly Comp plans expect a never ending stream of hype that will fall apart at the first bump in the road Agents product is falling behind and models are commoditizing fast
