the job was titled marketing assistant yet they hired me as a brand representative for rogers basically. it was only comissions paid no base salary, which is awful since the job consists of door-to-door sales for rogers’ products. the manager simranjeet is arrogant and will treat you like a child. he boasted about tricking customers into thinking they were getting deals when he was just charging them a higher price. you are hired as an independent contractor for them to get away with not paying EI and health insurance or a basic salary. and so they can fire you whenever they please. they will try to rope you into seeing how all of this can benefit you because you could be making $1k a week if you manage to sell anything, or else you are basically working for free.
