Pros
Ellevest's mission is to get more money in the hands of more women, and everyone at the company is really passionate and motivated by that goal (it drives every decision and project). Coming to work each day feels purposeful because of that mission. The company is focused on innovation and growth. Ellevest walks the walk when it comes to teamwork - everyone's voice is valued and encouraged. The feeling of pulling together towards a common goal is incredibly motivating. The team works really collaboratively and cross functionally across organization lines. Leaders (and teams) are very transparent about company goals, challenges, and successes. Regular all-hands meetings and internal communication efforts help keep everyone informed.
Cons
While the flexibility of fully remote work is ultimately a pro, it does come with challenges. Maintaining strong connections with teammates across time zones can (at times) require extra effort.
