Pros

I'm trying to find one

Cons

You are on your Reporting manager's mercy in regards to career progression. They openly threaten you that if we go to higher level to report the issue it would not be good . HR is colluding with the management. They don't know about the processes and policies and keep on diverting you from person to person for things they should be knowing about. No HR policy rather they are Manager's policy. Whatever manager agrees is okay with HR. Zero support from HR. OfficeVibe is for name sake. No anonymity.

Thank you for your review. This is not the experience that we want any of our employees to have. We take your feedback seriously and we are keen to investigate and discuss how to improve things should we find that the points you raised here resonate with other employees in the same role as you. However, we are incredibly proud of the work we do globally as an organization to continue building an environment that is supportive, nurturing and inclusive for all employees. At Elsevier, all our employees are encouraged to join and partake in these efforts. We empower them to be responsible for their own development and careers, with support from their managers through career development conversations, action planning and ongoing coaching. We encourage you to partake in helping us to build an environment that is supportive, nurturing and inclusive by allowing us to help delve into these issues further. Thank you for this balanced and thoughtful review. We're glad to hear that our benefits and investment in people are making a positive impact, those are commitments we take seriously. On the process feedback: Leadership is actively reviewing operational workflows, and the advice to listen more closely to employee feedback is something we're holding ourselves accountable to. If you're open to it, we'd encourage you to bring specific examples forward through your team or people and culture contacts. Change is most effective when it's grounded in the real experiences of the people doing the work, and that means you. Feel free to reach out to us at elseviergdrev@elsevier.com to provide more information Thank you for staying engaged and for caring enough to share this. It matters.

Pros

Every direct manager I've had has been excellent: supportive, positive, and trusting me to deliver good work instead of micromanaging. Employees tend to stay, which suggests stability even if not everyone gets promotions or significant raises.

Cons

The pressure to outsource as much as possible, which is common at every publisher, leads to frustration. Because promotions or significant raises seem to be rare, you may be stuck in neutral unless you're very openly ambitious.
