Pros
Still a great place for students to receive an exceptional education and colleagues in one’s area are smart, caring professionals. Partisan politics not too big of an issue like at some places. Financially solid. Campus is well maintained.
Cons
Treatment of faculty is frequently disrespectful and pay for most disciplines is below industry averages. Almost impossible to hire new employees due to low salaries. Dept and college administrators are treated like they are not part of university leadership. The only opinions that matter at ERAU are those of the board chair and his minions; those who dare speak up to dissent (or question) are financially punished. Even the President has little influence vs. the CFO and COO.
