Pros
My time working with Emily and the EE team was incredibly rewarding. EE's mission to support the final 10% of the cystic fibrosis community is front and center in everything the team does, and I felt like my work (even the small daily tasks!) had a real and immediate impact. EE fosters a creative and collaborative environment where new ideas are welcomed, and I always felt that my contributions were valued. I had the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, which kept things engaging and allowed me to grow professionally. A particular highlight was working closely with EE's founder, Emily—her courage, transparency in sharing her CF journey, commitment to advancing EE's mission/growth, and relentless advocacy for the CF community are truly inspiring. I learned a lot from Emily and have a tremendous amount of respect for her and the organization. I'm grateful to have contributed to EE's mission in some way during my time there!
Cons
As with any remote team, there can be challenges with communication and coordination so as an EE team member, you have to be ready to be flexible and adaptable.
