Pros

The pay is descent. Self scheduling

Cons

The department I use to be in 7T Post Surgical Oncology was a terrible experience. I loved caring for the patients, but the degree of disrespect towards techs, and lack of team work was unbelievable. The team can be very mean to each other. It's a very toxic work environment. The work load for techs is unrealistic and unfair. Sometimes you will have 10-12 patients, and the nurses only up to 4-5 , yet the unit clerk will literally call the tech for everything, while you are also caring for other patients and completing other tasks. It's like you are expected to be two places at one time. I was tired of the demeaning treatment also by some the nurses. I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to leave and move on to a better place.

Pros

Pay and benefits are good

Cons

Leadership needs significant improvement. Promotions often appear to be based more on personal relationships than on experience, qualifications, or selecting the best candidate for the position. Leadership also fails to adequately address bullying and toxic workplace behavior, allowing it to continue unchecked. As a result, many locations feel disorganized and chaotic due to inconsistent leadership, poor communication, and a lack of accountability.
