Emory University

Is this your company?

Emory has good benefits, connections, and pay but lacks a sense of community and collaboration among departments. - Research Assistant Emory University Employee Review

Pros

Good benefits, particularly health insurance and a 6% matching of your retirement savings through their 403b plan. Annual reviews for promotion/pay raise eligibility. Friendly and intelligent faculty and staff throughout the University. Paid vacation and sick leave time accrues fairly quickly. This paid time off along with the various free health services offered to employees shows that Emory cares about work life balance. Beautiful campus.

Cons

Horrible traffic around area, and expensive parking pass. If you're involved in research, outreach, or some type of work that would benefit collaboration, it's often difficult to get people to look beyond their own work and self interest to collaborate with you, share resources, etc. Departments do not always do a great job of keeping you up to date with what kinds of work others are doing.

Pros

Flexible hours, schedule, heavy case work
