Pros
Fair salaries, good benefits, comfortable place to work (minus the few negative, chronically angry individuals). Management is fair and down to earth. If you are the type who can endure poor treatment, insults, and passive aggressive behavior from your peers, it is a good place to work.
Cons
Too much negativity in the Romeoville office. Certain individuals are not happy unless they are unhappy and they are true cancers. Makes for an extremely challenging environment. Certain individuals spend too much time complaining and crying "overwhelmed" rather than just focusing and doing job. Despite management being fair and down to earth, they have blinders on. They need to step back and look at the big picture outside their office doors. When three out of eight in the office are complete negative energy, management is fully aware and it is ignored...there is a problem. Regardless how knowledgeable a person is and regardless how many hours they are willing to put in, everyone is replaceable. The person who trains new employees is condescending, insulting and insecure. This person will belittle and bully anyone new that comes along to ensure that no one compares in the eyes of management. Yet it is allowed due to the unreasonable dedication this person shows. Management accepts this person's behavior in exchange for this person making EnerSys their world and putting in excessive hours, with no real concern for the damage the negativity is doing throughout the rest of the office. This location has the potential to be a great place to work if management would open their eyes and see that the the negative energy is more harm than good. Needs a serious reorganization.
