Pros

Office quality and location is nice. Lower-level employees are lovely and helpful. Great benefits. Good foot in the door if you're interested in renewables.

Cons

Pay is poor for the DMV area and opportunities to get raises are few and far between. Terrible upper management. They hire Israelis for these upper-level roles with little to no relevant experience and many of them are not fluent in English just because they are Israeli. They can never hold onto employees of actual value because they like to overload and treat them badly and then wonder why they're understaffed and cannot perform business properly, pay contractors on time, follow project schedules without delays, build projects to code, or maintain decent relationships in the areas they operate in. People come into this company as fast as they go out. Whether they are fired or quit, people leave overarchingly because management and company culture are bad.

Pros

- Knowing it doesn’t get worse than this in a corporate environment - Pay is decent - Ability to get experience in the industry

Cons

I don’t even know where to start with this review, truly. What kept me going was that a lot of the entry/mid-level employees are great people. The higher ups have limited solar experience and lack interpersonal skills needed to manage teams, which leads to high turnover and employee dissatisfaction. Not to mention that there is 0 training. It’s a huge milestone to make it to a year at this company - people quickly quit and firings seem to happen in a haphazard and retaliatory way. There is clear favoritism here as well where directors/managers that are useless and incompetent remain in place despite never actually getting anything accomplished. You will not be respected and if you need to be thrown under the bus, you will be. The culture is one of blame and irresponsibility - but management will tell you that we work the hardest, fastest, and smartest of all the developers and will continue to push you, even if it means ignoring rules, policies, and basic decency. It consistently compromised our ability to develop and build successful projects. Despite this, management will turn a blind eye and will never be receptive to feedback despite all previous attempts by many former employees. If you’re seeing positive reviews, they were likely planted there by HR, if it wasn’t obvious enough by the AI-generated sentences. The list continues, and looking back, it’s almost comical. The one good thing is that if you work here, you’re prepared for literally anything else. Please choose the other job offer or continue looking, your sanity will thank you.
