Benefits reflect resources in keeping with a startup company

People there were very nice and it seemed like a fun atmosphere. Pay was great and I enjoyed the work.

I worked here for three days. On the fourth day, they called the staffing company claiming I was supposed to work that day, but we had agreed on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and this was a Tuesday. My supervisor apparently told them she had asked me to work that Tuesday, but she never did. They also mentioned that I left early the previous day without permission, but I had permission from the same supervisor. They ended up firing me over this. I have no idea why the supervisor made up lies about me like that. She seemed perfectly nice for the three days that I worked there, and even took me out to lunch. I felt like I was being gaslighted. I never told anyone that I would come in on that Tuesday, and in fact, I had a second job that I worked on Tuesdays, which they knew about. I also distinctly remember the supervisor telling me that if I skipped lunch, I could leave early, which is what I did. 4 years later, I still think about this incident and wonder what in the world happened. I actually really enjoyed the three days that I worked there, even after they put me trough three interviews and a proofreading test, then took weeks to get back to the staffing agency to tell me I got the job (which was why I ended up taking the other job). I would have loved to keep working there, but this supervisor apparently had other ideas.
