Pros

I have only been here 90 days and was brought over from an acquisition so maybe things will change like it does for anyone being at a company for many years. The transition from former employer to current wasn't too bad but this is my first time going through an acquisition. Upper management is very transparent, helpful and understanding. So far it's been business as usual which is always a plus. Work life balance is perfect! I have been in IT for over 12 years and I am use to the fast pace go-go-go mentality. Working here is like a breath of fresh air.

Cons

I would have gone five stars but I felt the two items below were worthy of knocking a star off. There is no 401k match. First time working at a company that doesn't have one. During the job position offering, nothing was negotiable. I'm guessing this could have been done because of timing purposes because of the sale price. Offers went out based on your time at your employer and not necessarily how long you've been in the industry so I did lose vacation which isn't the end of the world. However, I would like to point out that we were given a salary adjustment three months later after they recognized that our former employer never gave us an increase during the ongoing sale.

Pros

The only thing worse than working at Enghouse is being laid off.

Cons

When Enghouse swallows up your small, happy company, take my advice and start your work search immediately! Enghouse does not care about people, the products, or customers. We were told that product updates and enhancements would be delivered faster and more frequently post-acquisition. In reality, it took almost two years for any new product updates to be released. They also promised customers that the on-premise solution would be not only maintained, but enhanced. This was an absolute lie and made customer-facing teams look terrible when customers were finally told the truth. If you're a customer and learn that Enghouse is acquiring your chosen SaaS solution, do not renew your contract. The time and expense of switching to a different provider will be well worth not getting locked into a contract with Enghouse.
