Pros
The co-workers are the biggest positive to working at EL, but with almost 100% turnover, that positive is becoming a negative. A pro would also be if you were related to the President, then you would have the ability to get an executive job.
Cons
Our tag line is “Moving Logistics Forward”, but EL is not doing anything innovative to change the industry. Competitors that have been in business for a lot less time have made a much bigger impact on the industry and can deliver better value to their customers. Slogans do not make a difference to the customers or carriers that we work with. I spent many years at EL and I saw many really talented people come and go. The good people that leave usually go on to bigger and better things and they usually get replaced by lesser talent. We also really struggle to bring on new customers that have an impact on our monthly goals. We need real national sales people, just like the ones we used to have.
