Pros
Excellent development opportunities. The work is not easy, but survival makes employees stronger. This school was once dubbed the "training camp" for new ESL teachers. Additional degrees and certifications available in-house, though due to time or personal reasons, most employees do not make use of them. Tough times make strong people.
Cons
The work is not easy, and the salary is less competitive. Working conditions are often excessively difficult (new teacher teaching 16 students alone, in 38 degree weather, for 2 hours, only 6 hours advance notice). There are very limited ways of working one's way up in the company. The "business" side of the company often overpowers the "service" side (the education).
