Pros
My colleagues at the school where I was placed were very helpful. They gave me very good advice on how to improve as a teacher. Most also spoke good English, which I heard is quite rare in the Korean public school system. They all made me feel welcome and part of the school. My salary was always paid on time and I got a bonus for working at two different schools. The students were nice and participated well in class.
Cons
I disliked that we only found out which type of school we were placed in after we arrived in South Korea. I really wanted to get a high school or middle school placement. Instead I got placed in elementary as did around 90% of my cohort. I was unaware the chance of getting a middle or high school position was so slim before leaving.
