Pros
1. Flexibile Scheduling: You get to choose your slots. 2. No Teaching Degree Required: You can join if you're proficient and don't have a degree. 3. Straightforward Hiring: The hiring process is fairly simple. 4. Pre-made Lesson Materials: You don't need to create your own materials.
Cons
1. Low Pay: The hourly rate for non-natives is quite low, which makes long-term work unappealing. 2. Problematic Students: They don't allow teachers any means to deal with problematic/abusive students, so you can't choose not to teach someone. The higher your rating, the more you will be affected by this. 3. Dead-end Position: There's no prospect for growth in this position, so most people just do this to gain enough experience to switch. 4. Lackluster Support: The support is quite useless, and if you face any issues, you'll have to deal with them, and you could receive some penalties for them as well.
