Pros

Exposure to Google Cloud–related engagements and conversations around cloud, AI, and enterprise technology. Early on, the company offered opportunities for ownership and learning in a startup environment. Peer-level colleagues are generally supportive and cooperative. Good initial learning exposure for freshers entering cloud, sales, or tech-adjacent roles. Small team size allows visibility of work and interaction with senior stakeholders.

Cons

Over time, individual contributor roles have become largely execution-focused, with limited end-to-end ownership. Employees are expected to handle prospect conversations, gather detailed requirements, and do the groundwork, while management often takes over later stages and ownership of outcomes. Micromanagement culture with limited autonomy. HR has minimal authority, leading to weak employee support. Compensation is below market standards relative to expectations. Very restrictive leave policy (one leave per month, counted as sick or casual) and limited WFH flexibility. Lack of transparency around incentives, performance evaluation, and career growth. Inconsistent application of rules, stricter for juniors than for senior leadership. Schedule and policy changes are sometimes enforced without proper consideration of employee constraints. Leadership presence is limited, and decisions rely heavily on a few individuals, creating bias. Team culture in some departments (especially tech) feels authoritarian, discouraging open communication. Promises made during hiring or onboarding are not always followed through.
