Pros

-Client interaction impacts you as a worker -Support from team and supervisor goes above and beyond -Witnessing the difference you're making with clients and providers and the growth that comes with that -Room for growth as an employee for promotional positions

Cons

For me personally, I feel that the promotion I took wasn't the best fit for me. I very much missed the amount of client interaction I used to have, but that's on me.

Pros

I worked at Enriching Lives for eight years and it was the best eight years of my work career. The work culture. There is the best that I’ve seen thus far they truly invest in their employees their mental health and wellness, job satisfaction, and work related resources. The company has a wonderful mission and amazing values that anyone can align with. The work that you do at Enriching Lives is so empowering, every day you walk away feeling blessed to do what you do.

Cons

I wouldn’t call it a con but something to keep in mind, due to the work of human services, it’s hard to find a healthy work life balance. If a client calls you after working hours, it’s hard not to pick up that phone call because it could be an emergency. They could be stranded or lost. They could be missing their medication and instead of calling the appropriate on call number, they called you; therefore, you either pick up the phone or you have to reach out to on call and have them check on the client. The company never expects you to work after hours and they always pay you for whatever work you do but it’s hard to ignore those calls because you enjoy and love the people you work with and wanna make sure they’re OK.

Pros

Enriching Lives is a agency that supports the growth and advancement of their employees. Employees are encouraged to bring their social work talents and creativeness to their work. No micromanaging from supervisors and supportive directors who engage with their employees. Work schedule is flexible, decent benefits including (PTO, Sick time, yearly bonus, medical, dental and vision benefits and a 401 K), leadership training, assistance programs to further your education and weekly meetings to discuss areas of supports and client needs.

Cons

Some of the downsides include the amount the of driving, but it's all about planning and making your schedule the most optimal. There IS mileage reimbursement.
