Pros
The opportunity to drive a wide range of cars,
Cons
Where to even begin on this... first of all the hours are inhumane, we are talking 60-70 hour weeks, if you calculate your hourly rate it is under the government national living wage? Which for a multi billion pound international company is simply disgusting. The way you are treated by your managers is hideous, they expect you to sell excess protection to every customer, which is an absolute rip off anyway (can double customer rental cost) so overall its a very hard sell. If I did not sell, management would patronise, belittle and question your efforts (65 hours into your working week). Furthermore, as a graduate you will have a training folder to complete for your promotion, in my three months there I did not have one hour of folder progression time with my manager (part of the managers job spec!!). I was also shouted at on various occasions, vocally abused for doing very little wrong. You are effectively a taxi driver/car cleaner in a suit. So guys have confidence in your own ability, look around for other companies who treat you like a human being, have a range of company benefits and a great reputation, in my various job interviews many hiring managers stated that they had seen many people leave in a short space of time (business experts think the scheme is terrible). Best of luck in your job search!! And if you read this plesse don't even consider this, it will ruin your confidence, social life and personality.
