Pros

There were literally no pros to this job. This was a nightmare scenario. It was like being in a movie, but not in a good way. What kind of company moves you across the country during a pandemic only to fire you without warning 3 months in? Absolute insanity.

Cons

- In-Office fraternizing - upper management in romantic relationships with coworkers who they work directly with despite company policy being against that. CEO defended them when I reported it. - I moved cross country during a pandemic and was fired without warning 3 months into moving there with no real explanation or warning. - Complete disorganization. -200% overdevelopment - Management leads by terror. - Florida-man style duct tape over floor vents to keep out sewer gnats - Buckets permanently placed under sinks because leadership wont fix the plumbing. - Complete disorder and disorganization. - Incompetent product development management. - Low pay. - 100% copying competitor styles- no actual designing allowed. - Calling a role "Lead Designer" but then treating them like an assistant is the epitome of bait and switch.

Pros

Some coworkers are supportive and hardworking

Cons

Don’t fall for the recent “good reviews.” It’s honestly very obvious they were written by people close to the CEO. At the very least, they could have tried not to make it so obvious by posting all those positive reviews within the same couple of days. Those statements are simply not true. How can there be real opportunities for growth in a company where the CEO’s family members and close friends hold most of the top positions? There is very little transparency, and employees are not valued or respected. Several VPs and managers openly yell at staff, creating a very toxic work environment. “Work from home” is probably the biggest joke of all. Remote work is allowed on Fridays only. Meanwhile, certain male employees seem to get more flexibility than others. There are no sick days at all. You only get 10 PTO days total, so if you get sick, those days come out of your PTO. If you are a woman, prepare yourself. Your ideas and opinions are ignored. The environment is very male-dominated. Paid holidays continue to get reduced, and during peak season, office employees are expected to work in the warehouse for long hours, including weekends, because the CEO refuses to hire enough staff. Don’t expect extra compensation for that work either. If you’re lucky, you might get a $20 gift as a “thank you.” Honestly, this is not a place where you want to spend years of your career. There is absolutely no appreciation for hardworking employees, no growth, and a constant lack of transparency.
