Pros

I was able to be gain more experience in the event industry.

Cons

Entourage Events Group is Disorganized in all senses of the word. There is no structure to the company, and such a high turnover rate that people are not properly educated on job descriptions or expectations. There is no HR department or even HR employees so all of the issues that are going on and need to be addressed must be brought directly to the owner and even then they are not solved. There is no clear direction on who is each employees direct supervisor which constantly creates communication issues. Entourage is Unprofessional in the fact that issues are not handled directly with employees. Staff is spoken about poorly by management and is not given any clear instruction on execution until something is done incorrectly and then it is blown severly out of proportion and no solution is given. The owner and upper management react out of anger and irrationality often jumping to conclusions and discipline without taking the time to understand the situation or decision. Entourage is unstructured in management, job descriptions, and overall operations. There is a lack of responsibility to address relevant and pressing issues within staffing and issues from event execution. There are multiple client complaints per event and none are handled properly. Entrouage does not work to prevent these issues from happening again, they just throw a discount or a credit at these problems without really taking the time to understand where the issues are coming from.

Different events keep daily work interesting. Team members help quickly during last minute event related situations. Managers don’t micromanage. Good learning around vendor coordination and client communication skills. Fast moving environment. Competitive pay and benefits.

Long hours during larger event weekends

Pros

Some of the servers I worked alongside actually weren't terrible.

Cons

Every idea about how to run things better gets this polite smile and 'we've always done it that way' and then absolutely nothing changes, which honestly gets exhausting. The management acts interested in what you think but you can tell nobody actually cares because they're too settled in how things are, too comfortable with the mess, and they'd rather protect the status quo than fix anything. There's this weird invisible hierarchy where people who've been there forever get better treatment — better shifts, more trust, actual acknowledgment — and everyone new just figures it out eventually or leaves. I tried raising operational stuff that would've made the actual work easier and got smiled at and nodded at and watched nothing happen, zero follow-up. They say 'we're like a family' but families actually talk to each other and try to solve problems together, not just tolerate dysfunction while the same people stay comfortable.
