Pros
EPA offers generally good salaries, benefits, job security, work-life balance, etc...The people who work there are smart and dedicated to environmental causes.
Cons
The biggest downsides to working at EPA are the politics and bureaucracy, which often get in the way of the most interesting projects. I would say that morale there is, in general, pretty low. Few advancement opportunities for junior staff.
