Pros

remote opportunities, good/bright colleagues, ample opportunities for improvement

Cons

- Leadership - Non-employee centric, - Poor company strategy - Lack of integrity - Management has proven that it is incapable of making strategic decisions that support the best interest of the organization and its employees - Leadership has only focused on growth/expansion opposed to operational efficiency/sustainable growth initiatives, which has been one factor that has driven up cost. This statement holds true for operational (manufacturing) and backend process (systems) alike. - Management lacks integrity and is not employee focused. Example - the company faced a voluntary and involuntary RIF process back in June/July. HR offered individuals the opportunity to resign as part of this process and receive a severance package. A couple individuals that elected to resign as part of the process, due to the direction the company was heading and the messages being delivered by the CEO and CFO at the time, were denied their severance after electing to resign. The department head for these individuals, basically made a last minute decision (after the individuals already had their exit interviews scheduled) to cancel them, literally an hour or two before and replace them with a call with her and in the meeting told the individuals that the department would not pay their severances now as part of the voluntary resignation, since she now had felt she may have to backfill those positions. This was the only department that choose to do this to any employee. The worst part was that during the process there was no real communication or personal conversations from the department lead to these individuals and no indication that she would try and block resignation selections for specific roles in her department. This ultimately put those employees in a bad situation, in the last minutes of this process, which shows a complete lack of care for the difficult choice these employees had to make and that leadership is not centered on the wellbeing of their employees. And one of these roles has now been open since the person left the company 6+ months ago........... - Decisions from leadership at times would go against the advice given by functional owners/subject matter experts for system solutions. Typically these decisions were made due to cost and potential timeline. The approach from leadership was lowest cost, shortest timeline. There was no consideration for total cost of ownership, support needed, and customer experience for the solution decisions made. In some cases I have seen that the decision made by leadership ultimately costed more and took longer to deliver due to limitations/issues with the solution than it would have cost and the time it would have taken for a proper solution to be implemented from the start.

Enviva now has a leadership team that is committed to improving by providing the right resources for employees and facilities. The new culture being built is a 180 of what it was a few years ago.

Cons

Corporate support still sometimes out of touch with sites.

Pros

He was the only positive thing about this company

Cons

Toxic work environment, forced or made to feel guilty or inferior if you did not work 18 to 20 hours a day. I could go on and on.
