Pros

Loose supervision -- not much micro-management. They leave it up to you to figure out what is important and what you should work on. They have a great cafeteria with low food prices. The work isn't hard, just endless and repetitive. They give you time (and money) for "celebrations" at the company's expense. They match a small percentage of your contributions to your 401k. They buy you books and bring in speakers for your personal/professional development. They require you to travel and will pay for a nice hotel and good food, but no booze. If you work long hours for customer support, you can ask for "comp" time, even though all positions are salaried.

Cons

If you don't agree with your manager on the relative importance of things to be worked on, it can get rough. Managers do not help you balance priorities. They don't coach or direct you on how to choose what is important. They also do not coach you on how you can advance your career at Epic. The unspoken is that if you put in a ton of hours you will get promoted -- and rewarded with being asked to work even more hours. It is not uncommon to take on more work, but then never transition away any duties, so the net amount of work and hours keeps increasing.
