Pros
Epic has an innovative software package and a culture that you won't find at many companies. Management is very open with what's going on in the company and offers a wide range of fringe benefits and bonuses that are the envy of many. Travel has its perks and you get to step into a professional job without the need for "real world" experience.
Cons
Whether it is the people who try to outcompete each other or the management who promote this, Epic is a company that will consume your life and make you feel guilty/deficient for not working more. It is the norm to work both weekend days and taking vacation is difficult when you know you'll get called out for lack of progress when you get back.
