Exceed expectations there, and you may find other challenges to be trivial in comparison.

If you do not develop or pursue these projects yourself or through your application team, you may be asked to take on a role internally that you do not enjoy. Depending on volume of work required to be successful in that role, it will take a toll on you long term. -Epic is (literally) world-class as far as healthcare IT goes; you are expected to be a world-class performer. If you fall short of that expectation before you get a chance to learn project management principles holistically and you may find yourself to be in awkward spot after you leave the company.
