Pros

Some of the best teammates to work with. Everyone cares about you from upper management down. Always learning something new while working. Get to see the latest features in the Unreal Editor. Occasional free stuff from giveaways. Benefits are amazing.

Cons

Rules for promotion are hidden, up to HR to decide if you get a promotion or not. Slow days happen often, meaning a lot of time trying to find work to do. Crunch occurs rarely, but when it does everyone helps out. A lot of things that should be documented are not and are passed via word of mouth. Communicating with higher up employees is frowned upon.

Pros

- Amazing benefits and pay - Work with some of the most talented folks in the industry - Move quickly and ship a lot - Have the freedom to make a lot of impact - Not political and a no nonsense place, just a lot of talented and passionate folks wanting to do good work

Cons

- Company strategy can shift quickly which can feel chaotic for many people, change is a part of life at Epic - Lots of teams work long hours, not all teams but it’s common

Pros

+ Excellent benefits + Really cool people to work with + Projects are exciting, if stressful

Cons

- Project/Product Management isn't consistent across teams, making it really hard to collaborate between the tech teams. There's no real top-down facilitation of Scrum or other SLCD - As you probably are aware, the company has had multiple layoffs. Job security is in flux
