Pros

The office is cool but uninspiring in many ways. They provide cheap, poisonous snacks and drinks in the break room.

Cons

I should have seen the red flag in the interview when they asked if I can work with people who aren't the nicest or who offend people. That was specifically asked for their "HR"/operations gal who is also the sister of the owner. High expectations with zero support. Do it their way but figure out how to do it their way on your own. This company has a way of manipulating people into spending far more than necessary. All to line their pockets so they can take vacations every other month. The CEO is the only one there who brought a smile. The other two owners were hot and cold and easy to anger. You never knew what to expect but could generally count on a poor attitude. Seeing/hearing the ownership yell at each other during the work day was always a treat. Not inspiring in any way shape or form. Not hungry. Just some old guys holding on to the old ways, expecting others to keep them afloat. I can't forget to mention their accounts manager, the worst of the worst. He's a token hire and they all know it. They "joke" about it often. He is all talk and no walk. It's no wonder the turn over at Epic is so high.

Pros

Leadership is transparent and explains the why behind decisions. Supportive, fun team that celebrates wins. We rally when things get tough and solve problems fast. The work moves real numbers for clients and feels meaningful. Plenty of chances to learn and own projects.

Cons

Not necessarily a con, but agency pace is fast and context switching is real. Priorities can shift quickly with client needs.

Pros

Hybrid/Remote Work Opportunity to try something new

Cons

If you think the company name is the only outdated thing here you're in for a treat! Epic has all the hallmarks of a business run straight out of 2002 including (but not limited to): Micromanaging Unrealistic expectations Unclear leadership direction Just "suck it up" mentality Nepotism There's a lot to be said that when a big client leaves, the company implodes. 2025 wasn't a kind year to Epic, and unless something drastic changes, don't look to see them operating in 2027
