Pros

Your manager may ignore you for 7 or so months like the Senior Leadership of the design department did. So if you enjoy minimal interaction with people, and being ignored by management, this is the place for you!

Cons

They play favorites in each department. Senior Leadership is only nice to you if they are laying you off or if they need something from you. If you tell them something in private, they deny it after the fact. And when people talk openly about u resolved issues, we are told to “handle things appropriately” (which means “discuss privately” for the conversation to be denied later. They are not kind to employees of color and only have less than 10 employed. Being nice to that many people shouldn’t be hard, but you’d be surprised. They tell employees the only way to get promotions is to get noticed by management. But it’s hard to be noticed by management when the Senior manager of the department is MIA or on another tropical vacation during a global pandemic.

Pros

I was a summer intern at Equator Design and had an amazing experience! I learned so much in such a short amount of time as I was lucky enough to learn from three different departments, account management, photography and pr/marketing. My supervisors, Andi Summers, Lisamarie Cerny and Sally Mackrill were all incredibly supportive and informative.

Cons

I have nothing negative to say.

Pros

Nice people, cool office space, good designer scheduling system/management -- allows designers to end their days at 8 hours which is uncommon at an agency.

Cons

Low salaries, no growth opportunities, toxic people in leadership positions, non-existent culture.
