Pros

You learn a lot in an environment that is scrappy.

Cons

Very poor HR leadership overall. The organization consistently promotes individuals into people-leader roles who lack the skills, emotional intelligence, and accountability required to lead effectively. When mistakes are made, there is little to no ownership, and issues are often ignored rather than addressed. Bias is prevalent, and concerns about hostile or unprofessional behavior are not taken seriously. Even at the senior HR level, there appears to be a pattern of looking the other way instead of intervening or holding leaders accountable. Coaching and mentorship are not valued here. I witnessed an HRBP who could not handle multiple tasks and got easily stressed and lashed out at employees later being promoted, which sent a clear message about what behaviors are tolerated. Compensation is not competitive. Talent Acquisition has been known to deliberately lowball candidates despite higher approved budgets, and roles have been created or filled based on connections rather than merit. If you are considering a career here—especially in HR—be prepared for a culture where favoritism is rewarded and speaking up comes at a cost.
