Pros

I am going to use this box to warn those who are considering working at Equity because I wish I had someone who did that for me. Do not make the same mistake I did by believing it was a legitimate, honest company. The only pro I can think of is I am now able to use this experience as an example of what kind of companies to avoid when looking for new career opportunities.

Cons

Disorganized, dishonest, micromanaged, dramatic, SUPER stressful, and 100% metrics driven. You can be the most talented person in the industry, but if you don't spend 85% of your time plugging in the same numbers in to 3 different places they will treat you like you're a terrible, and useless employee. They will actually go out of their way to bring down your confidence, and compare you to other employees. They feel that creating an unhealthy, overly competitive and stressful environment will get them fast results. Instead it pushes people away and unmotivates everyone. Equity is not focused on building relationships in the undustry, which brings more value in the long run. They are only focussed on instant gains. They tell their employees to lie to their clients if they have to in order to get an immediate sale. There is absolutely no integrity. I felt very bad about myself, and shady working for this company. If you're considering working for Equity I encourage you to reach out to any of their current employees and ask them to give you their very honest opinion of what it's like working there before you make a final decision.

Pros

This has been a great job working for this staffing agency. I don't remember applying. But they called and did a short interview over the phone, and I was thankful I answered that call about the contract with Optum Rx and United Healthcare. You get four weeks of training, and United Healthcare employees act as the HR for you regarding training and day-to-day activities. They mail you all the computer equipment, get you IT support to help you set it all up—equity checks in periodically or weekly. Holly at Equity is excellent and feels like your best friend as she guides you through the initial steps. Everything else, like work/job tracking, is handled by United Healthcare. They are friendly, helpful and supportive.

Cons

The job is only $17 hourly and is not a living wage. Health insurance is offered but is not the most cost-effective. Getting hired by United Healthcare is challenging as you have to exceed their metrics. I have long covid, So I was not able to do that.
