Pay is better than most. Made a lot of great friends and memories Every once in a while, you'll have a great store manager or store director Always room for growth because of turnover and everyone quitting. - 50% on one meal, and 20% on everything else.
Cons
- Sexual harassment is not taken seriously and will go on for months Since working for Erewhon from my first day til my last, I was hit on and harassed. - ridiculously overworked - no free drink or meals - customers are degrading and enabled by management - Sexist and misogynistic - not very diverse - toxic, a lot of drama, and easy - you're going to make hundreds of Hailey Bieber smoothies, a long with other ridiculously meticulous smoothies monthly sponsored by influencers - no longer has a mission. unless the mission is "how much can I get away with taking employees for granted?" - If you're a woman, be ready to be relentlessly hit on, sexually harassed, at work and on social media. Everybody sleeps with each other. - No female representation in store management and director positions - Wages range regardless of position and work performance (horrible employees can get payed more than great ones) - store managers that are awesome and loved by the team end up quitting because of higher management - work-life balance? nope, just work. Erewhon demands your attention and time even as a supervisor/shift lead. - Men get praised for doing half the work the women do in every department and only seem to acknowledge, promote, or praise women for appearances. - Takes advantage of kind, hardworking, motivated employees and burns them out - Training is pretty much nonexistent in any position or department. - favoritism, I've seen many get fired because someone stands up for themselves and pushes back on unfair treatment - The more passive, yes-man, the more no-spined, the more lack of self-respect will gain you higher positions. in short, if you respect yourself and have boundaries. Erewhon hates you. - So many levels of management but none of them can really do much for you until it reaches past the store director level. - Tonic employees, you are going to be so exhausted, under appreciated, and abandoned by managers. - Greedy, money hungry company - If you're a woman, be ready to work 3x as hard as the men around you, for some reason you have to prove yourself significantly more than your male coworkers.
