Pros
Great degree of freedom, in terms of choosing your tools, what tasks you work on, and even when you come & leave work. Easy to get promoted, if they see you putting enough effort in your career. They honor talented people very much. Moderate pay, but very good other benefits. Great professional communities. Close to two major universities, lots of professors & students are working here.
Cons
The tasks are sometimes very boring and uninspiring for the youth. Limited technical career opportunities. People around there tend to complain a lot. No smaller projects, you have to work on a single (legacy) product for years.
