Pros
Benefits. The PTO is decent if you stay a while, but I've seen better. Could be a good starting point for your careers. Pension.
Cons
- Low pay. Talent will leave for better pay, low barrier to entry for new hires.
- No actual advancement plan. "Promotions" really only happen when a position opens up, and then it is based on favoritism instead of merit / experience.
- Management depending on where you are.
- Political drama.
