Pros

Erie Insurance is a nice place to work in the Erie county (PA). Decent salary based on the cost of living and they offer great benefits such as insurance, 401k and retirement benefits. I have a perfect work-life balance; at least in my team. Job satisfaction and work-life balance greatly varies with the team you work for. The company strongly believes in its core values, which is wonderful. As any other customer focused organization, Erie Insurance gives most importance to its valuable business from agents and customers.

Cons

Promotions and career growth are mostly difficult to achieve. Career growth is mostly achieved by applying for other open positions within the company and being hired into those positions. Organic growth is slow. Some teams struggle with work life balance. The organization structure is constantly going through change - no stability. The future in one's job is uncertain at times due to this reason.

Pros

Good benefits that’s about it

Cons

You have to be a robot to get a yearly raise worth anything. They don’t really care about the employees you’re just a number. In training, they make you feel like it’s gonna be more than that but after you’re done, absolutely not. That’s how they get you and they start you out at pretty good money and you really don’t make much from there unless like I said you’re a robot. Supervisors don’t care, director doesn’t care, unless you’re a robot. Not the vibe for 2026. Don’t be swindled, Corporate life is not fun unless you want to be a zombie robot like all the high ups and who really wants that?
