Pros
Decent insurance, 401k option (no matching), unlimited PTO. An abundance of pride in the product, and a cohesive team that gets things done, often on a tight timeline and limited budget. Working with partners and teammates across the globe is a positive experience, and the remote-first approach to working is a plus. The directors and managers are firmly committed to helping develop and support their teams.
Cons
It is difficult to take advantage of the unlimited PTO due to the volume of deliverables output and cyclical nature of projects. Personalities of select leadership are often abrasive and high-maintenance (see revolving door or exec. assistants and marketing leadership), which requires learning to understand how to engage in the most practical and stress-free way. After significant layoffs, staff was disappointed that full bonuses earned in previous year were not paid out. At least 2 senior executives exited shortly before the downsizing.
