Today was my first day, and I was introduced to the workflow, team expectations, and patient communication process. I learned about the H.E.A.R.T. model for trust recovery and de-escalation, including how to hear the patient, empathize, apologize, respond with a solution, and thank the patient for their feedback. I understand that patients may feel frustrated or worried, and my role is to stay calm, listen carefully, communicate respectfully, and help guide them to the next step. Overall, today was a learning experience, and I look forward to improving my communication, confidence, and teamwork each day.
