Pros

Average pay and benefits. High potential industry

Cons

- I have seen 3 of my colleagues fall due to burnout and management lie about their condition. - Internal whistleblowers are fired within 24 hours, without notice. Which given Etex's legacy, is not a good sign. - It is wide spread that the company suffers cashflow issues every once in a while (but nobody is supposed to know), despite having passed all inflationary costs successfully. Fear always trickles down quickly (purposely so by some incompetent managers) only to effect the least advantaged employees. - lack of internal human resources procedures to deal with all of the mentioned issues. - (senior) IT executives openly expresses their racism to people of color. Seem to be untouchable.

Terminating employees within 24 hours for whistleblowing is strictly against company policy. • Financial Transparency: We strive for financial transparency; we are debt free and like many businesses maintain a working capital to provide free cash flow. The current commercial outlook, in particular for construction, is weak however Etex Group is committed to long-term stability. We will raise your point with our teams to see what additional communications could be considered to keep all teammates informed. • Internal HR Procedures: We acknowledge the feedback on HR procedures. Pros

I'd genuinely struggle to tell you. Anything I thought was good going in quickly ebbed away. I had other offers but I thought this place would have a decent culture (even though the pay was a bit naff) and opportunities to grow - how wrong I was!

Cons

The job you will do will not be the job advertised to you advertised There is a clock and dagger culture, with lots of backstabbing HR pull the strings of the managers, as opposed to managers being empowered to lead but ironically the HR team doesn't understand basic employment law There are ridiculous layers of bureaucracy, meaning lots of talk and meetings, but little action
