Pros

Company is facing hardship and making people redundant so a major pro will be when they finally go bust. Team mates when you have them.

Cons

-Everything about this place is rotten and it’s getting worse -don’t believe the reviews some have left as they were bribed to do it with love to shop vouchers. -Expected to sell products to a customer that they won’t need such as original buy back con artist guarantee! -Training is sub standard- expected to start serving within 2 weeks and opening up a branch in 4 weeks on your own then they wonder why people complete 4 weeks training and leave -Charged for making mistakes even if you didn’t make the mistake-only regional manager has access to CCTV and they don’t check to see where mistake could have been made when requested by line manager then line managers are expected to fob you off and let you take the hit on payday but regional managers happy to sit watching CCTV all day to make sure you aren’t sitting down for a minute or having a chat with a colleague ! - I won’t mention the uniform you are expected to wear- if you get the right size you request you will be lucky and even then you look like a 1980’s airline stewardess! Oh and you must wear shoes all shift and be stood in shoes even though customers can’t see below your thighs -Lied to about progression -Clique environment - if your face fits -Rudest customers ever -Constant western union transfers -Managers constantly on your case as the s7!t they are given flows downwards -Silly amounts of audits with silly rules- opening up a branch takes an experienced cashier 40 mins following pathetic ‘procedures’ but your given 10 minutes to do and stop when a customer comes dead on 9am. Make a mistake on audits and boom goes your so called bonus and bonus for your team mates so great way to make friends -Bonus they bang on about works out to be about £50 per month and you can try your best to sell what you are KPI’d for but it all goes by how lucky you are with what customer you get. -Be prepared to use chemicals to buy gold -Be prepared to sell insurance -Be prepared to sell mortgages -Be prepared to sell gold -Be prepared to be sell useless outdated products -Be prepared to con the customers with upselling such as special deal on 500 euros which saves the customer approx 60p from normal rate. -Be prepared to follow a sales process which isn’t meant to make you sound like a glorified ATM but in the end that’s all you are. -Be prepared to work in either an oven or a freezer -Be prepared to wait 2 hours to go toilet- lock everything away, tell a manager if they answer their phone that your going toilet and then be timed to see how long it takes you -Be prepared to be all smiles to the rude customers who are so happy about going on holiday and if you do get a nice one then be prepared to be envious that they are going on a nice holiday while your stuck in a little box staring out while the world pass’s by. -Be prepared to be harassed by management if you don’t hit unassailable targets set -Be prepared to either be non stop for 10 hours in summer or board for 8 hours for rest of year -Be prepared to have your hours cut or be forced to use one of your paltry annual leave days just because your branch isn’t busy enough -Be prepared to wake up at 6am to get to another branch , get home at 9pm and only be paid back transport costs. -Be prepared to have a so called manager stand behind you and reprimand you for not selling everything to a customer as that is all they will be doing going forward but the company calls it coaching -Be prepared to have major responsibilities but be paid just over minimum wage -Be prepared to be made redundant -Managers are already getting made redundant and the tight company whose owner is a multi millionaire aren’t even giving them a redundancy payment. -BE PREPARED BY SIMPLY NOT GOING ANYWHERE NEAR EUROCHANGE YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
