Great salary, very exciting working environment, interesting and helpful colleagues, international environment, cutting edge computing infrastructure
Cons
Too much burocracy and politics, it is an operational center so sometime job tasks could be boring. Maybe less boring if you are hired as scientist and not analyst.

Interesting work
Some good managers
Many lovely coworkers and lots of nice social events planned
Nice benefits
Best place I've worked
Cons
Short contracts and 10 years to access pension
Several staff who think it's okay to shout at people.
Bad maternity pay
The centre doesn't have to stick to UK law and never seem to lose at their own internal appeals process (unnerving)
Must be in office 3 times per week
- Working with some of the best minds in weather forecasting and associated HPC technologies
- Friendly and co-operative working environment, continually pushing the boundaries in the field
- Good salary / pension / retire at 63 / 30 days leave entitlement + PH
- Active staff committee supporting staff where necessary
Cons
- Senior management can be tone-deaf when listening to staff's feedback (which is not often sought)
- Outside of UK or European employment law,
- Management can sometimes be haphazard - some managers promoted to reward technical/scientific expertise rather than management & strategic skills
- Limited advancement/promotion opportunities as it's a small organisation, with high competition for opportunities that do arise
