      * Exciting Big Science Project * Potential to have an impact on humanity

      Cons

      * Many parts of ESS are managed by subject matter expert with little to no understanding of management * Neutron physics is a white, male dominated area with a lot of inbreed, being "one of the boys" carries much more weight than your actual competencies when it comes to career and promotions

      Pros

      Interesting project and work tasks.

      Cons

      The work load is constantly increase. People that leave are not replaced and everyone left have to pick up their work. The salary isn’t great to begin with and you are expected to take on the added workload and responsibilities without any compensation.
