Cons

Run by a team of husband and wife. CEO has no clue how to people manage. Likes to micro manage. Very emotional and childish. Salary date changes and HR has no clue how to run the dept. Pathetic

Pros

1. product is genuinely great - probably the best amongst the competition. Especially recently added community engagement solution. 2. Overall great team. SDRs are hard-working and capable of effective prospecting skills. CEO is ambitious about growing the company and capturing new markets whilst releasing advanced product features 3. I was reporting directly to the CEO- he was not micromanaging and would frequently share his vision and strategy - great learning opportunity. You don't get a close [and meaningful] proximity with senior leadership in many tech companies 4. CS team is great. Especially Brian Jackson - onboarding was always smooth and effortless. Brian was willing to work extra hard to fix any potential issues that clients would [oftentimes unreasonably] raise. 5. HR lady Eveliene is very responsive-even though she is not based in the US office 6. The company did overall prove its agility in its response to COVID-19 induced temporary recession.

Cons

Typical of most fast-growing start-ups. Most of cons were gradually dealt with during my tenure at EventBank.

Pros

There are some nice people at the company, and despite all terrible things that the CEO is doing to employees, most employees are still fighting through, though sure to quit the moment they get a new job elsewhere like I did.

Cons

Salaries have been cut for almost full year in 2020, but CEO opens new offices around the world and hires new people without paying off millions USD in debts to existing employees that are suffering and struggling to make ends meet. 0 transparency in this company and maximum exploitation without any appreciation. Hopefully one day this joke of a CEO will be put in jail for all criminal activities.
