Pros

As is often the case, most people there are great, toughing it out in the face of everything else. If those staff could be anywhere else they'd be easily the aces of where ever they worked. I've never seen a more resillent and talented group of people from support, to sales, developers and SRE. These accolades stop at the doorstop of technical management though.

Cons

Everything else. A lot of people who've worked or work here feel like they've come from somewhere worse and have got the sense that this place will be better. It won't, for your own mental health, do not consider working here unless you're an expert at taking your lumps for failings you never knew about but were expected to, or enjoy being gaslit and discovering a new sense of imposter syndrome. Completely clueless direction; constant reprioritisation; get used to being told to do things in conflict with your own experiences; "we have technical debt" is a gross understatement implying that there's a legitimate goal to improving this; false promises and statements in the interview process; gaslighting when doing work; unclear task requirements and deliverables. Endless changing and shifting of priorities and not focusing on the massive issue that every new starter has questioned shortly after joining. Strong sense of a controlling leadership who both expect others to organise things, but then wrest control over the top and fault others for it. Only hiring experienced developers in some attempt to think its more skilled staff they need to solve the problems coming from leadership level. "It used to be worse", a phrase uttered like a mantra. Attrition has been so high that knowledge on the product as a whole is concentrated into 1 person who you will quickly identify as a source of conflict.

Pros

EventsAir has taken strides to continue to improve employee happiness, work-life balance, open lines of communication and transparency within the company. I feel like I can reach out to any of the company C-suites, something that is not common in larger companies. The people who work here are also all wonderful, and all work together towards a unified goal.

Cons

As we continue to scale up, we experience some teething issues, related to lack of staff in certain parts of the globe.
