Pros

Excited to see some positive changes taking place with corporate direction and culture.

Cons

Base pay or commission does not take into account counselors in slower, rural markets. It is very difficult to attract and retain talent under those parameters, especially in rural markets. Blaming counselors for not doing enough to earn their pay does not help and ultimately causes talented, qualified people to look elsewhere. Remember, in many places in the US, the minimum wage is $7.25 per hour. GM structure is a step in the right direction, however it has been rushed into place in some markets, with some GMs now being less qualified than many of the people they are managers of.

Pros

I’m proud of the collaboration and commitment I see across both the Support Center department teams and our frontline location teams. There is a genuine effort to support one another, stay focused on serving families well, and work together through challenges. I appreciate the dedication of all employees, especially those working directly with the families we serve, as well as the partnership between departments that helps keep operations moving forward. The culture continues to grow in a positive direction as people adapt to change, share ideas, and support each other in meaningful ways.

Cons

Consistent communication across a large and dispersed organization can be challenging at times. As information moves through different levels of the organization, continuing to strengthen communication and alignment will help ensure employees feel informed, supported, and connected.

Pros

Helping families during their time of loss.

Cons

Misleading income teams for this location. Oblivious and incompetent management. Poor training from management. Sales Manager was 2+ hours away, and offered little to no support. No room for advancement.
