Pros

My co-workers and managers were some of the most talented, knowledgeable people I have ever worked with. The pay was pretty good.

Cons

There are too many to name, honestly. Read through all of the negative reviews and understand that they are all accurate descriptions of what it is like to work for Evolve. Upper management has created an extremely toxic and stressful workplace environment. As I stated previously, there are too many cons to list them all but these will give you an idea: micromanagement, mulitple shift bids per year, constant changes in SOPs and metrics, fear of losing your job at any time (multiple RIFs, downsizing and consistent firings of multiple people at once), metrics that are very difficult to reach, back-to-back calls from angry guests and owners and not enough time given to resolve issues, not enough staff to handle the workload, no clear path to growth opportunities, and the list goes on. I am a positive person who can handle stressful, escalated situations in high performance positions. However, this company's culture of constant change and upheaval, that they dress up as high performing and obsessed with customers, creates a whole new level of stress and workplace dissatisfaction. As someone else mentioned in another review, they are actually asking people to come here and leave a good review to try and balance all the negative reviews that have been left. When they say on their own career site that it is not for everyone, believe them.

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad to hear that remote flexibility, culture, benefits, and the role itself are standing out. We hear your concern about pace. We move fast because what we're building for our customers requires it. But we also recognize that speed has to be paired with clarity, and we want to ensure that when we move, we're bringing people along. We encourage you to bring your feedback to your leader, People Business Partner, or a Coffee & COHAD session with leadership.

Pros

- fully remote work - I loved my co-workers - If you start in an entry level position, there is opportunity for growth

Cons

- There isn't accountability at the most senior leadership levels. When strategic decisions lead to negative outcomes, the consequences are felt most by the teams responsible for execution. In my experience, risks identified by subject matter experts are not adequately considered, and when those risks materialized, managers and senior mangers were fired rather than the decision-makers themselves. - Evolve emphasizes a commitment to inclusion, but my experience did not consistently reflect this value. I observed repeated inappropriate and sexist remarks from a direct leader that were not meaningfully addressed. - 0 job security in Customer Experience, Learning & Enablement, and People team roles. The company states it will not conduct mass layoffs, but there appears to be a pattern of ongoing terminations across teams and roles. While the company is not laying off 25+ people at once, laying off 3-5 people across multiple disciplines, at a quarterly cadence feels feel similar. Greater clarity and honesty around these decisions would help build trust.

Thank you for your feedback and for your more than five years at Evolve. Most importantly, we take concerns about inappropriate conduct very seriously. The remarks you mentioned have no place at Evolve and we want the opportunity to look into this further. Please email people@evolve.com to connect with us. On your other feedback: We hold leaders at every level accountable for outcomes. And we want to foster a culture where Evolvers are both empowered to proactively flag risks and recommend solutions as well as take strategic risks when they align with our goals and culture. We also want to clarify that structural decisions are tied to business alignment and aren't cyclical. Ongoing performance management is a core part of how healthy, high-performing organizations operate — and it's something our top performers expect and value.
