Pros

There’s a core group of good people—engineers and other specialists alike—who are great to spend time with. But there are fewer of them every year.

Cons

Management isn't entirely transparent or honest; they love spinning yarns and making promises, only to conveniently forget what they said. There’s a bit of a "crony" culture—some people get overtime or a second project—but if you fall out of favor or aren't part of that inner circle, you’re out in the cold.

Pros

They offer competitive pay and strong work-from-home flexibility That said, as a consultant, your day-to-day experience is largely shaped by the client you’re supporting rather than Exadel itself. Consulting engagements often involve stepping into organizations that need help improving systems, processes, and best practices. As a result, you’re frequently working in environments that are still learning as they go operationally. Which can be very challenging.

Cons

The lack of stability once a client contract ends. In the current market, companies are reducing consulting spending, which can limit new opportunities. Since consultants may be released if a new client isn’t secured within a set timeframe, job stability largely depends on project availability rather than performance alone.

Thank you for sharing your experience and for your time with us as a Senior Consultant. We are glad to hear that you valued our competitive compensation and remote work flexibility. We also appreciate your candid feedback regarding the challenges of the consulting model, particularly the dependency on client project cycles and the need for more consistent skill frameworks. Your observations about leadership transitions and the importance of steady strategic execution are well-taken as we continue to evolve. We value your contributions to our Seattle-based engagements and wish you the very best in your next professional chapter.
