Pros

high payout grid for selling proprietary products

Cons

slim to none in coaching or advanced knowledge, unless willing to split commissions with a veteran insurance agent (which is strongly encouraged by management).

I just found out about this review website today. I feel awful this the person who posted this feels this way and is unhappy. I hope for his(her) sake that he has ended his employment with us as it would be awful to work somewhere if you were not happy. We have a lot of training available to all of our reps/agents, whether they are new or experienced. But, I am a firm believer that there is always room for improvement so I will definitely take this review into consideration and speak with the President about what we can do to make things better. I disagree that the sole focus of EFG is life insurance. Suitability is the determining factor on what kinds of financial products we offer to clients. I will say though that when a new agent first starts the focus part is life insurance simply because it takes some time to ramp up to be ready to sit for any securities licenses. So yes, if you do not have a securities license, all you are legally allowed to solicit is life insurance. Executive Financial Group is a great place to work. Unfortunately this is not a career for everyone. It takes a lot of time and commitment to excel, just like anything. If you are willing to put in the hard work and the time it takes to succeed then then, and only then, will you achieve the career results you desire. Paula pkolocotronis@efgmo.com

Pros

I came here straight out of college about 5 years ago and have loved my time here. The atmosphere is not one of being overly micro-managed. You have to have a certain level of drive with any company to work in this industry. There is great education, especially for those new to the industry. You have the ability to work with successful mentors that have had great success in the industry. Everyone here puts the needs of their clients first. There's no ceiling to what you can make.

Cons

There's no floor to what you can make as well. Expect to put in some hard work and it will be greatly rewarding to you for two reasons. 1. You get to help people have better lives by educating and helping them with their finances 2. You get to make money while doing it.
