Pros

Benefits are decent. Nothing more.

Cons

Favoritism - race bias gender bias, Age Discrimination - DM wanted older candidates because of “Maturity”. Double standards across the department, request work from home for medical and got the third degree over it. One employee moved away and was given work from home privileges to accommodate her instead of letting her go. Micromanagers and two faced upper leadership. Everything is fine so long as you do as they ask when they ask if you dare say NO you are no longer a good employee and you now get ignored and disrespected because of it. Towards the end I said no for the first time and they asked me to cut my 1 month notice early and said it was for the best interest to both parties all because I wouldn’t log in over the weekend and deal with my manager going at my throat about a task not being completed on a Friday with a skeleton crew during the holidays and after upper management completed ignored my cries for support before hand. They take “pride” in caring for the employees however I never truly felt like they did take care of us. It’s a job at this point merely a stepping stone for up coming talent to grow knowledge and move to a better company that will value and grow them. Don’t go here expecting to stay and move up. Recognition for some are celebrated within the branch while others go unnoticed. My 5 year pin came to me closer to my 6 year mark. Whereas others got a shout out on the open floor. I was in leadership and always went above and beyond. Worked overtime, late evenings and weekends, always got online when they requested support for my team and the department. They thanked me by asking me to end my notice early and didn’t even care to give me a thank you or goodbye. Luckily my team appreciated my time and did their own thing for me. They’ve all expressed deep concerns on what’s to come now that I’ve left and don’t expect to stay much longer. I hope I can help them move to a better work environment. New job is Hybrid and a much bigger pay increase for an entry lever position. Whereas I was stuck at Expeditors with no growth and minimal pay. Ask for an increase that aligns with market pay and they mention it’s entirely too much, well this is what you’ll continue to get. Disgruntled employees that leave after a short period for much better pay and a better working environment.
