Pros
There are lots of good things to say about Exygy, but the most important is that it is staffed by *good people.* I've never worked at a company where everyone was genuinely nice. There's almost no office politics, no backbiting, nobody looking over their shoulder or trying to cast blame, and no lousy attitudes. Management works very hard to support employees and give them chances to grow professionally. Employees feel very enfranchised; management makes a lot of effort to include employees on policy decisions. Lots of flexibility too. You can work from home and/or telecommute as much as you want. Unlimited time off is nice too. Exygy is a certified B corp, which means we are required to do a majority of our work for "mission aligned" organizations. Typically you have to choose between doing good work and being highly compensated. Somehow, Exygy has found a "sweet spot" where we can work for the global good and still make good money at it. Speaking of which - the work we do is amazing. In a single week, I can help fight cancer, global warming, and the Zika virus. I'm really proud of the work we do here.
Cons
In order to offer a generous compensation package to employees, we can only take large contracts, and most employees work at or above capacity. (For the last 8 weeks or so, I've done 40-50 billable hours per week.) That means we have to turn down a lot of projects that are too small, no matter how awesome they are. Not as many minor perks as other places, but that's ok, I can buy my own lunch.
